Bali, Indonesia | June 5, 2026 – Vietnam’s Housekeeping community received exciting and proud news as Mr. Ho Quoc Thinh, Room Attendant at Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon, outstandingly surpassed more than 50 international contestants to win First Prize at the International Housekeeper's Competition 2026 in Bali.

Mr. Ho Quoc Thinh – Room Attendant at Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon – successfully won First Prize at the International Housekeeper's Competition Bali 2026, outperforming more than 50 contestants from Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
The competition was organized as part of the International Housekeeper's Conference, Exhibition & Housekeeping Competition 2026, hosted by the Indonesian Housekeepers Association Bali Region (IHKA Bali), with participants from Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

Representing Vietnam in this year’s competition were Mr. Ho Quoc Thinh and Mr. Tran Minh Duoc, the two top-performing contestants from the Vietnam Hotel Housekeeping Skills Competition 2026, organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association as part of Food & Hospitality Vietnam 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The selection of two national champions to represent Vietnam at an international competition further demonstrates the increasingly high professional standards of Vietnam’s Housekeeping workforce, while also reflecting VEHA’s effective strategy in training, identifying, and nurturing talent for the hospitality industry.
Throughout the competition, Mr. Ho Quoc Thinh delivered an impressive performance, demonstrating excellent bed-making techniques, quick and precise execution, professional demeanor, and a creative, elegant, and highly artistic bed decoration presentation. In particular, his entry incorporated messages of sustainability, resource optimization, and personalized guest experiences—key priorities currently receiving significant attention within the global hospitality industry.

With a harmonious combination of exceptional professional skills, high aesthetic value, and the ability to tell a service story through his competition entry, Mr. Ho Quoc Thinh completely impressed the international judging panel and secured the highest position in the competition.
This victory is not only a remarkable personal achievement for Mr. Ho Quoc Thinh but also a source of pride for the entire Vietnamese Housekeeping community. This year’s competition was considered highly competitive, with more than 50 contestants competing in categories including international-standard bed-making techniques, speed of execution, procedural accuracy, aesthetics, and creativity in bed decoration. All contestants were outstanding representatives selected from leading hotels and resorts in their respective countries.
Participating in the competition as an international judge, Mr. Nguyen Quang, President of VEHA, highly appreciated IHKA Bali’s professional organization of the event as well as the professional quality demonstrated by the contestants.

He shared: “I am truly impressed by the professional quality of this year’s competition. Many contestants demonstrated exceptional technical skills, successfully completing both bed-making and bed-decoration tasks with a high level of accuracy in under eight minutes. This is clear evidence of the strong development of the Housekeeping profession across the ASEAN region.”
Notably, Vietnam’s representative securing the top position in an international competition featuring participants from multiple countries across the region has contributed to enhancing the image of Vietnam’s hospitality industry in general and the Vietnamese Housekeeping community in particular on the ASEAN tourism and hospitality map.
